{This little man of mine}....is sure a handful and then some. Our conversation went something like this the other night. Jaxen: Mom, I know what I should have asked Santa Claus for. Me: What would that be? Jaxen: I should have asked for 60 dollars. Me: Why do you need 60 dollar? Jaxen: Because I really need a chef hat. Me: A chef hat, {wow that was random} why do you need a chef hat? Jaxen: Don't you know I have wanted to be a chef for my whole life? Me: No, I didn't know you wanted to be a chef. Jaxen: I heard on TV they get paid lots of dollars, so I want to be that when I get big. So guess what, his birthday is coming up and that is still what he is asking for. I hopes he gets really good at cooking so he can take over my never-ending job of cooking dinner every night. Pretty sure I don't make to many dollars cooking, hope he has better luck. Photobucket

{Believe me when I say}....that my blog is going to be quite random over the next few weeks as I try to get caught up on the happenings of 2012. It really kinda bugs me, but it is what it is. I have this huge crush on Valentine's Day, I am pretty sure it is because it is centered around the color PINK, which happens to be my most very favorite color (if you don't believe me, take one look in my closet.) Since I don't have any girlies I take full advantage of the pink thing on this holiday. I love making and sending out Valentines and also reading fun Valentine books with the little man. So if you haven't got your pink on, what are you waiting for? Here is some fun February reading. Life is good..... Photobucket

{I really can't believe}....that is has already been a month since Christmas and I am barely getting around to posting anything. Christmas 2012 was awesome. A few years ago we decided that it was just to hard to pack up and go while trying to haul Christmas with us, so we started staying home and doing our own traditions. It has worked out quite nice. Jake our elf brought the kids a present they were able to open on Christmas Eve which turned into Jaxen wanting to open more. I caved and let him pick on from under the tree to open. I have been cooking Christmas Eve dinner for the last couple of years and having Derek's family up for the festivities. Grandpa and Grandma Miller were able to come and that was great seeing that Grandpa's health has not been the best this year. It was snowing this year which made Jaxen super excited knowing that Santa would make it with his reindeer. I was worried a little about Jaden's Christmas this year because he was only asking for a couple of things and it looked like he wasn't getting much. I shouldn't have worried because he was totally stoked over his I-phone5, beats, and some new Nike Free-runs. He walked around all day with a big grin on his face and that sure made me happy. I love when my kids are happy. Jaxen couldn't believe he got stuff that wasn't even on his list. He had so much fun playing all day with his new toys and then somehow made his way back to the old stuff he likes to play with. Sometimes I wonder why Santa bothers bringing so many new toys when they love all their old things. Christmas was wonderful and I hope that the New Year will bring lots of love and joy to our home. Here's to a great 2013. Life is good...... Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

{Meet Jake}.....our elf on the shelf. Jaxen was getting really worried because his elf had not shown up yet and he had been waiting for a hundred years. Jake finally made his appearance with his little car and his trunk and Jaxen was really excited. Jake was waiting for us on the porch and Jaxen let him in. He looked at him and wasn't to impressed, he thought he was kind of ugly and where on earth was his eyes. At my defense I had searched everywhere for the original elf on the shelf and with no luck ran on to Jake at the last minute. Jaxen who is smarter than a whip figured out really quickly that without eyes he could do whatever he wanted because he wouldn't be able to see him. I had to make up a big story about magic eyes and blah, blah, blah. Jaxen loved Jake and couldn't wait to see what book or surprise he was going to get. What a great idea for small kids, they love it. Can't wait till Jake makes his big return next year...Life is good. Photobucket Photobucket

{This explains it all}....the christmas break sure messed up the healthy eating and exercise that had been going on. I guess that explains the trailer I have been carrying on my runs this week. Back on the wagon.... Photobucket
{Happy Monday}....I will say that it is somewhat nice to get through another Christmas Season and get kids back on a schedule. We stayed up way to late and slept in way to long during our little break. I have so much blogging to do just trying to find the motivation, I think the freezing cold weather has something to do with the lack of not wanting to do a darn thing. Stay tuned for some fun stuff.....Life is good. Photobucket Photobucket
